What OpenClaw can do in Notion

3 operations: 2 read, 1 write. Read looks things up and changes nothing. Writes change Notion and run only when you turn them on.

Notion gateway tools

2 read · 1 write
  • notion_search_toolsread
  • notion_call_read_toolread
  • notion_call_toolwrite

You choose the access. When you approve OpenClaw, pick Full access, Read only, or Custom.

Notion controls the OAuth grant and the content your user can access. Workspace access can be broad; ApexGenius does not promise a separate page-level allowlist.

The read route checks Notion’s live tool annotation and rejects writes or unclassified operations.

The mutation tool must be enabled. Available operations and plan limits come from the current Notion catalog.

Disconnecting stops future gateway access. It does not undo a page edit, comment, upload, or other completed action.

Questions about connecting OpenClaw to Notion

Updated September 19, 2026.

How do I connect OpenClaw to Notion?

Connect OpenClaw to Notion through ApexGenius in three steps. Sign in to ApexGenius and connect Notion by authorizing your workspace in Notion. Add ApexGenius to OpenClaw. Then open a task in OpenClaw and ask a question about your Notion. Start with a read, so nothing changes.

Is there a Notion MCP server for OpenClaw?

Yes. ApexGenius is an MCP server that OpenClaw connects to once. It carries your Notion connection and 3 Notion operations, so OpenClaw does not need a separate Notion integration or plugin. You set it up one time and add each agent the same way.

What can OpenClaw do in Notion once it is connected?

OpenClaw can use 3 Notion operations through ApexGenius: 2 that find what Notion offers and run a classified read, and 1 that runs a change you have enabled. Together they find accessible pages, read the sources you choose, and update pages, within your Notion access and plan.

Can OpenClaw read all my Notion pages?

OpenClaw reaches what your connected Notion user can access in the authorized workspace. That access can be broad, and ApexGenius does not promise a separate page-level allowlist. You enable the workspace resource and choose which tools OpenClaw may use. Notion controls the sign-in grant.

Can OpenClaw change my Notion?

Not until you enable the change tool. Choose Read only and OpenClaw uses the read route, which rejects writes. With the tool enabled, it can update a page when the live Notion catalog and your access allow it. Check the exact page and the undo limits first.

Can I use the same Notion connection with Claude, ChatGPT, Grok Bot or Muse?

Yes. One Notion connection in ApexGenius works with every compatible agent you add, including Claude, ChatGPT, Grok Bot or Muse. Each agent gets its own access choice and its own short setup. The Notion skills loads in all of them, so it travels with the connection.
