Why the gateway is here

It keeps the Google Search Console authorization, tools, and activity behind the same managed route you use for your other supported systems.

Connection model

How to connect Google Search Console.

The Google Search Console connection belongs to your signed-in account. Any Google Search Console-native resources stay inside that provider.

Read connection details

Before you start

  • A Google account with access to an existing Search Console property.
  • The exact Domain or URL-prefix property you want to use. You can add a missing property with the connector’s Add property write tool. Verify ownership in Google Search Console when required.

1. Connect Google Search Console to ApexGenius

  1. Open Google Search Console in Connections. Sign in to ApexGenius, open Connections, and choose Google Search Console. Select Connect to begin Google authorization.

  2. Choose the right Google account. Use the account that can already access your site in Search Console. Review the Google consent screen and continue back to ApexGenius.
  3. Enable your Search Console property. Find Allowed resources on the connection page or its Tools tab and choose Refresh. Turn on the exact property you want to use. A Domain property and a URL-prefix property are separate choices.

2. Choose your AI and finish setup

Each guide includes the AI setup and a first question for Google Search Console.

Current governance

Know the account, tools, and result.

ApexGenius keeps the selected context and current tool surface visible, then records supported write activity for review.

Authorized context

Only properties accessible to the Google account and enabled in ApexGenius can be queried.

Current tool surface

Use Read only when authorizing your AI client if you only need search reporting and URL inspection.

Reviewable activity

Compare the selected property, dates, search type, and returned metrics with Search Console before making a decision.

Adding or removing properties and changing sitemaps require Google write permission and allowed write tools. Adding a property does not verify ownership or enable it in ApexGenius.

Why a gateway

11 operations. Three tool definitions.

Your AI starts with three ApexGenius gateway tools. It discovers the Google Search Console operations available to its authorization when a task needs them, then runs the selected operation through the gateway.

One saved provider connection

Connect Google Search Console to ApexGenius, then authorize each AI client to use the saved connection with its own tool permissions.

Scoped per agent

Give one client read-only and the write operations never appear in its tool list at all.

Every call on the record

Which agent asked, what ran, and whether it succeeded, kept per connection for review.

FAQ

Questions people ask before connecting Google Search Console.

How do I connect Google Search Console to ChatGPT?
First connect Google Search Console in ApexGenius and enable the correct property. Then add the ApexGenius MCP URL in ChatGPT, authorize access, and select it in a new conversation. Start by asking which Search Console properties are enabled.
Do I need to create a Google Cloud app or an API key?
No. The ApexGenius connection uses Google OAuth. Sign in with the Google account that already has access to your Search Console property and review the requested permissions.
Can I use a Domain property or a URL-prefix property?
Yes, when the Google account can access it. Refresh Allowed resources in ApexGenius and enable the exact property. Domain and URL-prefix properties are distinct, so check the returned property before querying its data.
Can ChatGPT change my website or request Google indexing?
Search analytics and URL inspection are read-only. URL inspection reports Google’s indexed version; it does not request indexing or edit your website. Property and sitemap changes are separate write operations that you can leave disabled.
Why might a report be empty or differ from Search Console?
Check the property, dates, search type, and filters first. Recent data can be incomplete, and the Search Analytics API returns top rows rather than guaranteeing every query. Compare the same report settings in Google Search Console.
What if my property is missing?
Check the connected Google account first. You can add an exact Domain or URL-prefix property with the connector’s Add property write tool, or in Google Search Console. Adding does not verify ownership. Complete any required verification in Google, then refresh Allowed resources in ApexGenius and enable the property. Refresh does not create properties or fix authorization errors.
