Why the gateway is here

It keeps the Google Analytics authorization, tools, and activity behind the same managed route you use for your other supported systems.

Connection model

How to connect Google Analytics.

The Google Analytics connection belongs to your signed-in account. Any Google Analytics-native resources stay inside that provider.

Read connection details

Before you start

  • An account with permission to use the Google Analytics resources you intend to connect.

1. Connect Google Analytics to ApexGenius

  1. Open Google Analytics in Connections. Choose Connect, or Add connection when offered. Give the connection a name if prompted. If Gateway setup pending appears, contact ApexGenius support before continuing.
  2. Choose the account and review access. Choose the Google account with access to your GA4 properties. Review the read-only Analytics access requested by Google and return to ApexGenius.
  3. Review the connected account and resources. Find Allowed resources on the connection page or its Tools tab. Choose Refresh and enable only the GA4 properties you want to report on. Resource selection does not add permissions to the Google account.
  4. Check the connection. Use Test connection or Check again and read the reported status. Add an AI agent from the AI agents page, choose Read only for the first test, and try the question below.

2. Choose your AI and finish setup

Each guide includes the AI setup and a first question for Google Analytics.

Current governance

Know the account, tools, and result.

ApexGenius keeps the selected context and current tool surface visible, then records supported write activity for review.

Authorized context

Only the GA4 properties you enable can be reached, and the Google account’s own Analytics access still applies.

Current tool surface

The connection asks Google for read-only Analytics access. No tool can change a property, a report or your data.

Reviewable activity

Turn a tool off to block calls.

Disconnecting stops future access.

Why a gateway

5 operations. Three tool definitions.

Your AI starts with three ApexGenius gateway tools. It discovers the Google Analytics operations available to its authorization when a task needs them, then runs the selected operation through the gateway.

One saved provider connection

Connect Google Analytics to ApexGenius, then authorize each AI client to use the saved connection with its own tool permissions.

Scoped per agent

Give one client read-only and the write operations never appear in its tool list at all.

Every call on the record

Which agent asked, what ran, and whether it succeeded, kept per connection for review.
