Google Slides MCP Connector for AI Agents

Connect your AI agents to Google Slides over MCP: read decks, slides and thumbnails, and edit slides, text, images and charts in decks you can open.

Connect a Google account once in ApexGenius through Google’s official Slides MCP, then read presentations, single slides and slide thumbnails, and edit slides, text, images and charts from compatible AI agents. Each AI agent needs its own ApexGenius setup.

Why the gateway is here

It keeps the Google Slides authorization, tools, and activity behind the same managed route you use for your other supported systems.

Connection model

How to connect Google Slides.

The Google Slides connection belongs to your signed-in account. Any Google Slides-native resources stay inside that provider.

Read connection details

Before you start

  • An account with permission to use the Google Slides resources you intend to connect.

1. Connect Google Slides to ApexGenius

  1. Open Google Slides in Connections. Choose Connect, or Add connection when offered. Give the connection a name if prompted. If Gateway setup pending appears, contact ApexGenius support before continuing.
The actual Google Slides connection page in ApexGenius, showing the Connect control.
Open Google Slides in Connections and choose Connect to start setup.Open full-size image (opens in a new tab)
  2. Choose the account and review access. Sign in to the Google account that has access to the intended resources. Review the permissions Google requests, then return to ApexGenius.
  3. Review the connected account and resources. Find Allowed resources on the connection page or its Tools tab. Choose Refresh and enable only the connected Slides account. Resource selection does not add permissions to the Google account.
  4. Check the connection. Use Test connection or Check again and read the reported status. Add an AI agent from the AI agents page, choose Read only for the first test, and try the question below.

2. Choose your AI and finish setup

Each guide includes the AI setup and a first question for Google Slides.

Current governance

Know the account, tools, and result.

ApexGenius keeps the selected context and current tool surface visible, then records supported write activity for review.

Authorized context

The connected Google account decides which presentations can be read and changed.

Current tool surface

The edit tool can delete slides and is marked destructive. Keep it off unless you need it.

Reviewable activity

Enabled writes run immediately. Turn a tool off to block calls.

Disconnecting stops future access. It does not undo a change; use the deck’s version history.

Why a gateway

4 operations. Three tool definitions.

Your AI starts with three ApexGenius gateway tools. It discovers the Google Slides operations available to its authorization when a task needs them, then runs the selected operation through the gateway.

One saved provider connection

Connect Google Slides to ApexGenius, then authorize each AI client to use the saved connection with its own tool permissions.

Scoped per agent

Give one client read-only and the write operations never appear in its tool list at all.

Every call on the record

Which agent asked, what ran, and whether it succeeded, kept per connection for review.

Which decks can my AI read?
Any presentation the connected Google account can open. Give your AI the link, or let it find the deck with Google Drive.
