Why the gateway is here

It keeps the Google Meet authorization, tools, and activity behind the same managed route you use for your other supported systems.

Connection model

How to connect Google Meet.

The Google Meet connection belongs to your signed-in account. Any Google Meet-native resources stay inside that provider.

Read connection details

Before you start

  • An account with permission to use the Google Meet resources you intend to connect.

1. Connect Google Meet to ApexGenius

  1. Open Google Meet in Connections. Choose Connect, or Add connection when offered. Give the connection a name if prompted. If Gateway setup pending appears, contact ApexGenius support before continuing.
The actual Google Meet connection page in ApexGenius, showing the Connect control.
Open Google Meet in Connections and choose Connect to start setup.Open full-size image (opens in a new tab)
  2. Choose the account and review access. Sign in to the Google account that has access to the intended resources. Review the permissions Google requests, then return to ApexGenius.
  3. Review the connected account and resources. Find Allowed resources on the connection page or its Tools tab. Choose Refresh and enable only the connected Meet account. Resource selection does not add permissions to the Google account.
  4. Check the connection. Use Test connection or Check again and read the reported status. Add an AI agent from the AI agents page, choose Read only for the first test, and try the question below.

2. Choose your AI and finish setup

Each guide includes the AI setup and a first question for Google Meet.

Current governance

Know the account, tools, and result.

ApexGenius keeps the selected context and current tool surface visible, then records supported write activity for review.

Authorized context

The connected Google account decides which meetings, recordings and transcripts can be read.

Current tool surface

Transcripts hold what people said. Read them only when the task needs them.

Reviewable activity

Enabled writes run immediately. Turn a tool off to block calls.

Disconnecting stops future access. It does not remove a meeting link already created.

Why a gateway

9 operations. Three tool definitions.

Your AI starts with three ApexGenius gateway tools. It discovers the Google Meet operations available to its authorization when a task needs them, then runs the selected operation through the gateway.

One saved provider connection

Connect Google Meet to ApexGenius, then authorize each AI client to use the saved connection with its own tool permissions.

Scoped per agent

Give one client read-only and the write operations never appear in its tool list at all.

Every call on the record

Which agent asked, what ran, and whether it succeeded, kept per connection for review.

How do I connect Google Meet?
Open Google Meet in ApexGenius Connections, choose Connect, and sign in with the Google account whose meetings you want to read.
Can my AI read meeting transcripts?

Can my AI download recordings?
No. It can list a meeting’s recordings, but it does not download the video.
Can my AI start or join a call?
No. It can create a meeting link, which invites nobody and starts no call. The full API tool is marked destructive. Enabled writes run immediately. Turn a tool off to block calls.
Can I start with read-only access?
Yes. Choose Read only when you add your AI agent, and the create and full API tools never reach its tool list.
